When just starting to learn how, trying to lead in a dance you already dance as a follow is like trying to write poetry in a language you've only just begun to learn.

  2. No.

    Very, very no.

  3. That was a strangely difficult analogy for me to understand. So you are trying to lead in a dance you already dance, where dance is analogous to language and leading is analogous to poetry, but the act of leading in this dance makes the language analogous not to language but to a language you've just begun to learn. Which probably reduces to "leading causes sufficient changes in the syntax of the dance-language for it to qualify as a foreign language even if the dancer-speaker is already fluent in the normal dialect of the dance-language". I think I may have butchered that. I like Andre's interpretation, though.
